Contact usRetired Naval Captain Jose P. Castillo and his wife purchased a citrus plantation in Sta. Lucia, Bagabag, and a lot in Diadi. When they needed capital to develop their land, they found the nearest bank was 20 kilometers away in Bayombong. The challenge they heard was simple: “Why don’t you put up one?”
Capt. Castillo brought together relatives and acquaintances to establish a rural bank. Registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 29, 1968, Rural Bank of Bagabag began operations on August 24, 1968, to support countryside development through credit and banking services.
The Bank expanded its reach with branches in Lamut (1994), Alfonso Lista (1998), Diadi (2007), and Villaverde (2009), serving communities across Ifugao and Nueva Vizcaya.
On August 24, 2018, the Bank celebrated its 50th anniversary. Guided by “Your Progress, Our Success,” we continue our commitment to dependable financial and banking services that help our clients and countryside communities move forward.
